FT Instructor - Interactive 3D Technology
Job Duties
Butler Community College is seeking an Interactive 3D Technology Instructor. This position is responsible to teach computer-based game design fundamentals and advanced techniques relating to the various I3D Fields, including Virtual/Augmented Reality, Mobile Game Design, Simulation Design, and PC Game Design. Must have working experience and knowledge of software and equipment (Creative Suite software, game engines, online/streaming systems, various Metaverse platforms, and etc.) related to Game and Simulation Design.

Nature of Position Faculty Full Time (length of contract): - 9 month contract If Part Time, list Working Hours
Salary (Commensurate with education and experience) Starting @ $41,000 /yr. Benefits package includes: paid sick/vacation/personal/holidays (including time between Christmas and New Year’s), generous health/dental insurance options, KPERS retirement, and voluntary benefit offerings.

Must have measurable experience using the following software and technologies:
Adobe Creative Suite, focusing in, Photoshop, Substance Designer and/or Substance Painter
Unity Game Engine
iPi Soft Motion Capture
Virtual Reality Design
Augmented Reality Design
Must be committed to student engagement and learning outcomes.
Required experience
- Experience teaching or as a teaching assistant in the I3D/Gaming field at the collegiate level and experience in the Digital Media or I3D Industries field.
- Required educational background
- Associates degree with a Digital Art, Game Design, or I3D emphasis.
- Bachelors degree is preferred.
