Duties and Responsibilities:

To provide face-to-face, hands-on, instruction to culinary students on the main campus. This position might also provide online instruction if the applicant has proven experience online.

• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Projects a professional attitude toward the students.
• Utilizes the approved curriculum, states clearly defined course outcomes, and assures that content is taught.
• Submits required reports in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate grades and attendance records.
• Organizes instruction in culinary labs and online.
• Provides sufficient practice with kitchen equipment to develop student culinary skills.
• Maintains a safe and sanitary kitchen and lab environment.



Required Education:

• Associates degree in Culinary Arts or closely related field or 10+ years’ experience in food and beverage operations with industry-based certifications in Culinary Arts
• Must meet credentialing guideline for the Southern Association of Colleges and School Council on Colleges (SACSCOC)



Required Experience: 

Preferred Experience:

• Post-secondary teaching experience

• Online teaching experience
