The University of Great Falls is a Catholic University located in Great Falls, Montana. The Director of Marketing and Public Relations is responsible for the marketing and promotional needs of the University, using our website, news releases, public service announcements and appropriate advertising medium, all in a manner that reflects a positive and progressive image. We are seeking a passionate, mission driven individual with excellent oral and written communication skills to contribute to the growth of the University. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES  To plan and carry out a marketing program/marketing plan as set forth by the President of the University, in conjunction with the Academic Vice President, Graduate Studies, Distance Learning, Alumni, Institutional Advancement and Admissions.  Approve all official external University of Great Falls publications and redesign/edit as needed to meet University graphic and communication standards.  To act in the capacity of “gatekeeper,” verifying that all information and publications distributed to the public adhere to campus aesthetics, style, content and graphic standards, giving recommendation for effective and economical printing and production when necessary.  To formulate, as needed, bids and recommendations for economical printing, editing and design of publications intended for public distribution.  To work with outside companies on design, editing, and printing of University publications.  To execute and arrange for advertising of class registration, fundraising and academic events on campus and through Telecom.  To write and distribute press releases and organize press interviews as needed.  To develop and expand all media contacts and arrange press conferences as needed  To act as a spokesperson for the University when the appropriate person is unavailable  To track publicity and news coverage locally and regionally  To serve as a representative of the University in community activities  To coordinate University photo shoots and commercial production  To capture photos at various University events and activities  To manage parts of the University’s official website  To assist with various University fundraising events and campaigns  To maintain an operating budget for the department and track expenditures  To supervise work-study students and provide assistance to Sports Information Director.
