Position Summary A College of Menominee Nation Adjunct Nursing Instructor is a member of the faculty responsible for the operation of the Associate Degree Nursing Program curricula. The Adjunct Nursing Instructor should have the ability to teach and evaluate didactic content, and/or instruct and evaluate basic nursing skills, and/or teach and evaluate nursing students in the clinical area. Each faculty member is expected to abide by and promote the mission, philosophy, framework, and policies of the College of the Menominee Nation and the Nursing and Health Careers Program. Essential Functions 􀁘 Provide effective program, class, and/or clinical learning opportunities 􀂙 Teach assigned courses in the Associate Degree Nursing Program selecting appropriate methods and learning activities 􀂙 Direct learning activities in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical settings 􀂙 Evaluate academic and clinical practice competencies of students to determine achievement and progress 􀂙 Interact with care team members in cooperating health care agencies to facilitate student learning and provide quality patient care as appropriate 􀂙 Support the Associate Degree Nursing Program curriculum 􀂙 Participate in self- and policy evaluations 􀁘 Provide service to the college, profession, and community at large 􀂙 Participate in academic and student life activities 􀂙 Serve the community by participation in professional and health activities in area of expertise 􀁘 Participate in research and/or scholarly activities 􀂙 Plan and meet goals for professional development 􀁘 Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications (Required) 􀁘 Must have Master’s Degree or higher with a major in nursing or higher 􀁘 Must be Certified Nurse Educator through the National League for Nursing 􀁘 Must have experience commensurate with area of teaching responsibility 􀁘 Must have at least 2 years’ full-time or equivalent direct care experience as a practicing nurse 􀁘 Must be employed in nursing within the last 5 years 􀁘 Must have current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license 􀁘 Must have current CPR 􀁘 Must have Wisconsin Driver License Qualifications (Preferred) 􀁘 Teaching Experience Environmental/Working Conditions 􀁘 Occasional exposure to infectious waste through contact and care of patients in affiliated clinical agencies 􀁘 Rare exposure to hazardous materials through contact with office equipment 􀁘 May be exposed to a variety of stressful situations and physical exertion involved in the clinical supervision of students; general body strength and stamina may be required for occasional lifting and transferring patients and equipment 􀁘 Must be able to perform technical procedures and fine work associated with nursing care 􀁘 Normal visual acuity and the ability to discriminate noise is required or compensated APPLICATION PROCESS A complete application includes: • Letter of interest • Completed CMN application form (available under job opportunities at • Current vita • Copy of all college level transcripts (official transcripts required if hired) • Three professional letters of reference • Copy of valid Wisconsin driver license • State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License • Current CPR • Proof of any position-related training or certifications • If applicable, please provide: 􀀹 Proof of Tribal enrollment status OR proof of spouse’s enrollment status & a certified copy of marriage license 􀀹 Proof of Menominee language skills 􀀹 Proof of honorable or general military discharge paperwork Send completed application materials to the following: College of Menominee Nation Human Resources PO Box1179 Keshena, WI 54135 NOTE: Pre-employment drug test is part of the hiring process.
